Wow, these are truly delish. Like, insanely delish. If you love Cuban sandwiches like I do, you’re probably thinking “how can you possibly make a Cuban sandwich even more delicious than it already is?” Well, you can stick it into … Continue reading

Pico De Gallo
I think I fell in love with pico de gallo before I even knew that’s what it was called. Sometimes, when I want a salad, but don’t have anything but tomatoes and onions in the veggie drawer, I’ll throw this … Continue reading
Sweet and Salty Candied Walnuts
I’m addicted to crunchy things. Sweet ones, salty ones, as long as they’re crunchy, I’m in! These candied walnuts fit the bill. Crunchy, sweet, salty, all in one! They’re great as a stand alone snack, but you can also use … Continue reading
A Delish Thanksgiving Recap!
Hi all, I wanted to share some pictures for my family’s Thanksgiving celebration this year. Maybe some of these dishes will inspire you for your next holiday gathering!
Check out my niece, Aubrielle, oogling at the bounty. She’s in awe of the whole thing, obviously. I think it might have something to do with the Mofongo Stuffed Turkey…yup!
And of course, we have the mandatory staples, like my mom’s Arroz con Gandules
My dad is the designated stuffing maker every Thanksgiving. He doctors up plain old StoveTop boxed stuffing by adding ground Italian sausage to the mix. It’s absolutely delish.
And of course, my favorite fall salad, featuring a mix of baby greens, dried cranberries, crumbled blue cheese, candied nuts and a homemade balsamic vinaigarette. I’ll have to share that one with you all soon.
My pumpkin pie tart didn’t survive the night intact, as my niece insisted on sampling the dish before dinner. She wanted to ensure her work was properly excecuted, and as a fellow foodie, I couldn’t say no to her logical approach.
I hope your Thanksgiving was as delish as mine! Happy Holidays!
